Jon & Kate Gosselin aren't the first celebrity couple to be torn apart by placing their personal lives in front of the camera and likely won't be the last. But as they announced their divorce early this week and continue to use the media as a personal outlet, CNS readers aren't so sure the Gosselins can overcome the fallout.
After a highly publicized and high-rated announcement of their divorce in place of a previously planned episode of "Jon & Kate Plus Eight," Kate is gracing the cover of People Magazine yet again with the headline quote, "It feels like I failed."
"Kate, People Magazine is not your personal journal," said 23-year-old reader Tamara. "Stop issuing statements to the media about what needs to be a private matter."
25-year-old reader Maria was a fan of the show but says they should've stopped taping the show to work on their marriage. "I wish they could've worked things out. It's eight kids that are going to suffer. It's the reality show curse. It happens to all the couples."
But for a couple using their personal turmoil to achieve their highest ratings yet, it's no suprise Jon & Kate join other celebs like Nick & Jessica, Carmen & Dave, and the Hogans on reality show divorce row.
