Cops Say Mel Gibson Couldn't Have Made Contact With Alleged Assault Victim

July 30, 2009

It's impossible for Mel Gibson to have attacked a man in a nightclub. According to cops, the man claiming he was assaulted by the "Mad Max" star was not even touched by the actor.

A man is claiming Gibson ripped his shirt when he tried to take his and his pregnant girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva's picture inside Playhouse in Hollywood on Wednesday night. The unnamed "victim" has gone to the Los Angeles Police Department to file a battery report against the actor.

However, authorities told TMZ that it was impossible for Gibson to rip the guy's shirt open because he was wedged in a booth with Grigorieva; thus, he couldn't have made contact and grab the guy.

Witnesses' accounts also reveal that the guy was making up the allegations of battery as no one saw his shirt was ripped when he left the club.
