Corey Haim's death investigation has called approximately 20 doctors for questioning. The physicians, whose names appeared on various prescriptions written for the ex-teen heartthrob, received subpoenas Tuesday. TMZ reports that the doctors, all from Southern California, were served with the subpoenas in connection with the actor's death investigation. Authorities want to review medical records. Seven of the doctors reportedly swore they never saw Haim or prescribed medications for him. Investigators believe that the prescriptions for the seven doctors may be linked to the fake prescription ring that is currently being investigated by the State Attorney General. More physicians are expected to be handed out a subpoena by the week's end. Haim died on March 10. |
