Country Singer John Rich And Wife Welcome A Son

Country singer and songwriter John Rich and his wife Joan welcomed a son on January 10. Cash Rich, the couple's first child, was born in a Nashville hospital on Sunday.

Rich, 36, is known in the country music arena as half of the duo, Big & Rich. The two went on hiatus in 2007 and Rich began working on his second solo album, "Son of a Preacher Man." He has also co-written songs for artists including Keith Anderson, Gretchen Wilson and Cowboy Troy.

The couple was married at Fontanel in 2008, a Nashville-area home that was previously owned by Barbara Mandrell. The home was featured in the CMT reality series, "Gone Country."
