Courteney Cox, David Arquette Split After 11 Years Of Marriage

Celebrity odd couple Courteney Cox and David Arquette have split after 11 years of marriage. No reason was given for the split, but already, rumors have started swirling that Cox is dating her "Cougar Town" costar Brian Van Holt, according to In Touch Weekly.

"We have agreed to a trial separation that dates back for some time," the duo said in a statement. "The reason for this separation is to better understand ourselves and the qualities we need in a partner and for our marriage. We remain best friends and responsible parents to our daughter and we still love each other deeply. As we go through this process we are determined to use kindness and understanding to get through this together."

"We are comfortable with the boundaries that we have established for each other during this separation and we hope that our friends, family, fans and the media also show us respect, dignity, understanding and love at this time as well."

It looks like marriage counseling didn't do Cox and Arquette's relationship much good, unfortunately. Cox has never hid the fact that all relationships, including her marriage, require work to maintain. But equally sad, the news of Cox and Arquette's split comes following the news that Ben Harper filed for divorce from Laura Dern, who often attended marriage counseling sessions with Cox and Arquette.

Although separated, the two will be seen together again; they costar in "Scream 4," which opens in theaters April 15, 2011.

The two have a daughter, Coco Riley.
