Dame Helen Mirren's husband forced her to spend a night in a brothel. "The Queen" actress is set to portray the owner of The Mustang Ranch, Nevada's first legalized brothel in her new movie "Love Ranch," which is directed by her spouse Taylor Hackford - who was insistent Helen thoroughly researched her role. She is quoted by Britain's The Times newspaper as saying: "Taylor grabbed me kicking and screaming to the brothel. He said, 'You've got to do this! You're going whether you like it or not.'" The movie - which also stars Joe Pesci as Helen's husband - is loosely based on real events and follows a famed boxer, played by Sergio Paris Mencheta, who is shot at the ranch following an affair with Helen's character. Taylor has followed an unconventional approach and made the film before getting studio backing and is now currently looking for someone to take it on. |
