Dancer Karina Smirnoff Says She Has Not Split From Boyfriend Mario Lopez

Professional dancer Karina Smirnoff, of "Dancing With the Stars," is denying that she has split up with boyfriend Mario Lopez. Rumors swirled earlier this week that the two had split up and Smirnoff was moving out of Lopez's Los Angeles home.

People.com reported earlier in the week that the two were calling it quits, but the dancer has been quick to say it isn't true. She told People.com on Tuesday, "We're going strong. As much as I love and appreciate the attention, it isn't true."

She then added, for the record, that she wasn't moving out. The dancer spoke from her production trailer, where she said a bouquet of roses from Lopez, and they were not a farewell gift.

Smirnoff and Lopez met on the set of "Dancing With the Stars" during the show's third season. Until now they have never publicly acknowledged their relationship.

During the initial report that the couple were calling it quits, Smirnoff was also reported to have been seen at a club with E! Entertainment personality Michael Yo. Smirnoff's reaction to that was, "Michael and I have known each for a long time, and there's nothing romantic whatsoever," she said. "He's a great guy and I really respect him, but we're just friends."
