Daniel Radcliffe Denies "Pothead" Allegation

November 13, 2009

"Harry Potter" star Daniel Radcliffe has denied being a pothead. The 20-year-old actor has responded to a tabloid's headline that he has been caught smoking cannabis.

U.K.'s Daily Mirror published a front cover picture of the silver screen boy wizard holding a spliff - rolled cannabis - between his fingers while his face is covered in scribbled mustache. The tabloid titled the story as "Harry Pothead."

The picture was allegedly taken during a party by fellow partygoer Wadia Tazi, who claims the star even boasted about his "love" for weed.

But Radcliffe's rep said they "categorically deny" the report, telling People magazine that although he occasionally smokes cigarettes, he does not do more than that.

The rep added that they will be taking all "necessary action in relation to such allegation."
