Daniel Radcliffe to be honored with Trevor Project's Here Award

New York, NY, United States (AHN Entertainment) - Actor Daniel Radcliffe will be honored with the Trevor Project's Hero Award.

The organization, which provides crisis support for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered youths, announced Monday that the award will be given during a ceremony in New York on June 11, reports the New York Daily News.

The "Harry Potter" star has been involved with the organization since 2009 and appeared in several of its public service announcements.

Since his work with the Trevor Project, Radcliffe has received accolades.

The NY Daily News reports that Radcliffe is honored to be awarded and feels that this recognition is the important thing he's been associated with so far in his career.

Past recipients of the Trevor Hero Award include Nathan Lane, Vanessa Williams and Milk screenwriter Dustin Lance Black.

Radcliffe is currently acting in the Broadway play "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying."
