Demi LovatoTalks About Dealing With A Bipolar Disorder And A New Album With Nick Jonas Demi Lovato has a lot to say!

August 19, 2014 Robin Williams, Nick Jonas

In a chat with E! News, the singer spoke about mental illnesses, teaming up with Nick Jonas and about her personal mission to help fans "feel comfortable in their own skin."

"I've struggled a lot with mental illness and bipolar disorder…Just because I'm a pop star doesn't mean that everything is perfect," the "Really Don’t Care" singer revealed while endorsing her “Clean and Clear See the Real Me campaign.” The campaign aims to provide a dais show the world their true selves and empower them.

Lovato has always been vocal about being yourself and not getting lost. She spoke about the “shame and silence” around Robin Williams’ untimely death, calling herself "living proof that someone can live, love and be well with bipolar disorder when they get the education, support and treatment they need."

"It's a part of who I am," the pop star said. "And you know, whether this campaign is about people having mental illness or not having one at all, I think that everyone can relate. And that covers people who are suffering from mental illnesses or people who are just struggling."

She also talked about her new music and upcoming tour. The singer couldn’t hide her excitement regarding her recent collaboration with buddy Nick Jonas.

"Nick and I decided to collaborate together because he had a song that he wanted us to work on together," she expounded. "And we did and when I heard it I fell in love with the song. I'm so excited for the world to see how incredible he is when he sets his mind to things."

Let’s hope she finds success in all her endeavours!
