October 27, 2009

Fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg has been robbed in Madrid. The Council of Fashion Designers of America president turned to her Twitter account to tell her fans of her ordeal.

She wrote Monday, "Madrid. I just got robbed in the street in front of the Thyssen museumÂ… My wallet, cash and all my credit cards!! [sic]"

After receiving concerned Tweets from fans, she assured them that she's "totally fine!! I Hope it the worst thing that will happen to me. Getting a big price tomorrow so going to sleep now."

It was not revealed how much was taken from her.

Von Furstenberg, who is best known for her trademark wrap dress, collected the Best International Collection trophy from Spanish magazine Telva on Tuesday.
