Dita Von Teese Working With Britain's Late Queen Mother's Dresser

February 20, 2009

Dita Von Teese is working with Britain's late Queen Mother's dresser. The burlesque dancer has recruited French-born Gail Seydoux to help lace her into her corset before her opening show at the Crazy Horse Saloon in Paris next month.

Dita said: "It's funny to think that the woman who will be pulling me into my corsets used to dress the Queen Mother. She's a very sweet lady."

The star will perform a series of raunchy routines - which could include her infamous Martini Glass dance - at the cabaret venue.

Gail worked for the Queen Mother shortly before her death in 2002 and now helps all the dancers at the establishment into their costumes.

A source told Britain's The Daily Mail newspaper: "Gail had only been on the royal staff for about a year as an assistant dresser when Queen Elizabeth got ill. After that only Jackie Meakin, who now works for the Duchess of Cornwall, was allowed to dress her and Gail, who was recruited through a connection with a champagne house, left."
