Drew Barrymore Wants People To Shut Up About Her Wild Child Past

Drew Barrymore isn't ashamed of her wild child past, but everyone should shut up about it. The star has no patience for reporters who won't stop talking about her wild days.

Barrymore was talking to the London Evening Standard about her new film "Going the Distance" when she shared how an interview with another reporter went.

She said, " You should have heard this b**** I had to do an interview with before you. God, I wanted to punch her, she would just not drop the youth thing. I have no problem talking about it. I am not someone who is ashamed of my past. I'm actually really proud. I know I made a lot of mistakes, but they in turn were my life lessons."

It's actually good to get it done young and have a great life later. But yeah, man, I wanted to rip this woman's face off. She would not shut up about it."

It wasn't revealed who was the woman who irked the usually bubbly star so much, but in case the others still don't get it, Barrymore hates reporters who talks about her past.

In her 1990 "Little Girl Lost" memoir, she talked about that long forgotten past in length. A child star who came from a respected Hollywood clan, Barrymore started getting drunk at the tender age of 9, smoked her first joint at 10, and binged on cocaine at 12. She entered rehab at 13, attempted suicide at 14, and was legally emancipated from her mom at 15.

But even with a shady childhood and teenage years, she was able to surpass the evils in her life. At 35, she has won a Golden Globe, Screen Actors Guild Award, opened her production company, and has been honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Not bad for an ex-druggie.
