Duchess Of York Sarah Ferguson's Laptop Has Been Stolen

December 17, 2008

Sarah Ferguson's laptop has been stolen. The Duchess of York is said to be devastated at the loss of the computer - which was taken during a burglary at a studio in Hertfordshire, England - as it contains a number of precious family photographs of her daughters Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie and ex-husband Prince Andrew.

A source said: "The laptop contains pictures of her family and friends as well as snaps taken on her recent travels."

"They are personal images taken by the duchess and she desperately wants them back."

It is understood Sarah, a keen photographer, had entrusted the laptop to an aide, who left it at the studio so the pictures could be downloaded.

The source added to Britain's The Daily Mail newspaper: "The photographs are of a sensitive nature so she can't just take them along to her local shop to be printed."

"It's just a dreadful coincidence that the laptop was there when the premises were robbed."

The computer was stolen last Thursday and police say it is unlikely those responsible realized it belonged to royalty when they took it, but warn they may try to access the material it contains.
