September 5, 2014 Cameron Diaz, Elizabeth Banks, Emma Watson, Lena Dunham

Elizabeth Banks is not one to keep mum when it comes to serious issues, she has previously spoken out about women’s rights too.

And now she has joined ranks with the likes of Lena Dunham, Emma Watson and Cameron Diaz in speaking up for the victims of the photo hack.

In an interview, she has revealed, "I just would say, firstly, that it's a criminal act. It's a total invasion of people's privacy, and whoever perpetrated it should be prosecuted and brought to justice. I'm just hoping that there's a little bit of justice for all of the victims," Elizabeth said. "It's a total violation, and it's a disturbing violation of women."

The Walk of Shame actress went on to say, "I think it should be a warning sign to everybody. But, most importantly, I would say it's just an absolute horrible invasion of people's privacy."

The leak, which is said to have been caused by a security breach in Apple’s iCloud servers, lead to a barrage of racy pictures of female celebrities uploaded on the internet.
