Elton John Offered $5.2M For A Russian Gig

Music heavyweight Elton John has reportedly been offered $5.2 million to perform for an hour for a Russian tycoon.

The 61-year-old multi-award winning artist is said to be thinking over the offer to sing at the launch of the businesswoman's luxurious Moscow hotel.

A source has been quoted by showbizspy.com as saying, "Initially Elton turned her down because he's so busy. But when the offer crossed the $4 million barrier it was too much to refuse, even for someone his means. And let's be honest, $5.2 million buys a hell of a lot of flowers."

"He's on the verge of saying yes."

Elton would be flown in the country by a private jet for the autumn launch if he did say yes. He would be escorted by a team of security guards to the hotel in the Rublyoyka district.

He is expected to play his classic hits.
