.com/celebs1/emeril_lagasse'>Emeril Lagasse just got his behind sued for being accused of duping the many consumers of America into buying his bogus knives. Apparently, he was the pitchman for the cutlery that is being sold over the Home Shopping Network.
This product line is actually owned by .com/celebs/martha_stewart'>Martha Stewart's company, .com/celebs/martha_stewart'>Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia. The said knives had the words Solingen, Germany on them and this is what brought the big problem. This mark made consumers believe that the said knives were manufactured by Solingen knife makers who are world renowned of their expertise but the knives didn't come up to par and are apparently just cheap knockoffs that were made in China.
The suit was filed by the Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Wuppertal-Solingen-Remscheid. They are the ones who truly own the Solingen name.
