Emily Blunt Says Rupert Friend Is The Definition "Of A Real Man"

February 16, 2009

Emily Blunt says her on screen love interest Rupert Friend is "the definition of a real man."

The British actress, who plays Queen Victoria in new movie "The Young Victoria," thoroughly enjoyed working alongside Keira Knightley's boyfriend.

Emily said: "I tell you, hearts will melt over Rupert. He is the definition of a real man in the film. He has such dignity about him naturally. He brought a likeability and selflessness to Albert without making him look weak."

In the movie, Rupert plays Victoria's husband Prince Albert. Emily says she found it easy to identify with the former British monarch because they deal with similar pressures in their lives.

The 25-year-old beauty - who previously dated singer Michael Buble - added to Britain's Harper's Bazaar magazine: "I know what it is like when you feel you are in an overwhelming situation. In this job, it is something you never get used to and I really understood that about her. And of course, I know what it is like to be in love."
