New York, NY, United States (AHN Entertainment) - For Emma Watson, being smart may be difficult. The "Harry Potter" star, who was enrolled in Brown University from fall 2009 until earlier this year, left the Ivy League university probably because she was constantly heckled in class.

The 21-year-old British beauty's intelligence and fame were reportedly the reasons why she decided to leave school and focus on her career first.

According to the New York Daily News, Watson, who was called "really smart," would often "answer something in class and get it right." Unfortunately, that's when her peers thought they were also being smart.

The paper's source said her classmates "would respond [to her answer] with a quote from 'Harry Potter,'" with the most popular choice being: "Three points for Gryffindor!" a reference to the film's dormitory system where Watson's character, Hermione, is based.

There was also an incident while attending a Brown-vs.-Harvard football game in Cambridge, Watson was "stalked" by Harvard students in her school's section. She "sat with two security guards in orange vests" and was "escorted in and out of the stadium." Harvard students who were nearby "shouted 'Harry Potter' phrases at her." She still stayed for the whole game.

Another source said Watson's freshman roommate signed strict confidential agreements before moving in with her.

Watson wrote on her blog that she decided to quit school temporarily to "completely finish my work on 'Harry Potter'" and to focus on her other projects.
