DJ AM's Nike Shoe Line Suspended

September 4, 2009 08:17 am CDT

DJ AM's Nike deal won't be hitting the markets just yet. The late disc jockey - real name Adam Goldstein - previously signed an endorsement deal with the sports shoe company giant, but the contract has been put on hold after his death.

TMZ spoke to a rep for the brand, who said that the 36-year-old celebrity DJ had been working with them for months on a limited edition line of Nike Dunks emblazoned with his own logo.

The design was complete and approved by DJ AM, but Nike won't be releasing them just yet because they are still working with his family to determine the next step in marking the shoes.

Goldstein had admitted to owning more than 700 pairs of the brand.

He was found dead at his New York apartment on Friday; his cause of death is still under investigation. He was laid to rest on Wednesday. Friends and family, including ex-fiance Nicole Richie, attended his memorial service on Thursday.
