Nine West Launches Vintage Line, Teams Up With Soles4Souls Charity

Nine West is tapping into vintage vogue with the addition a new product line. Available from up-market retailers beginning in July, the Nine West Vintage America Collection will cover a range of clothing items and fabrics styled with a homespun Americana feel.

Overseeing Nine West Creative Director Fred Allard understands well-crafted fashion can be both practical and eye catching. "I love the idea of going back to what we love from American fashion - your favorite jean, rich leathers, relaxed boots," he explains. "Vintage America Collection updates timeless pieces with a modern yet soulful sensibility."

The collection of footwear, handbags, accessories and denim items will incorporate casual comfortability with high street chic in its designs. With the addition of the vintage apparel, Nine West parent company Jones Apparel Group, Inc. hopes to expand its consumer market as well as its foothold in affordable fashion.

To coincide with the emergence of the Vintage America Collection, Nine West Group is enlisting the help of up-and-coming vocalist Miranda Lee Richards. As brand ambassador, Richards will promote the line through sweepstakes, magazine partnerships and Facebook marketing.

Nine West is also proud to support international shoe charity Soles4Souls. Throughout the summer and fall campaigns, the Vintage America Collection will direct its department store power to raise awareness and financial support for the millions disadvantaged people in need of quality protective footwear.
