Fashion mogul Tyra Banks enrolls at Harvard Business School

March 15, 2011 Tyra Banks, Victoria

Tyra Banks already runs a multi-million dollar company, but the "America's Next Top Model" mogul still wants a formal education to back up her empire. The 37-year-old retired supermodel has enrolled to Harvard to continue her education, which was cut short when she chose modeling when she was just 17.

Tyra has been taking classes at the Harvard Business School, enrolled in an elite business management program since last year. The three-year program is designed for busy entrepreneurs like Tyra, who spends just three weeks in the campus a year and pay $31,000 annually in tuition.

She told CBS, "It's pretty exclusive. It's quite expensive. But, I feel like it is worth it. I feel like it is so, so worth it."

The former Victoria's Secret angel was faced with the options of either going to USC or UCLA back then, but she got discovered and went to Paris instead to be a model.

She continued, "The day that I put college on hold because I got discovered to go to Paris and try this whole thing, it was one of the most difficult decisions of my entire life."

"I gave myself a year to be a supermodel. And I said if it doesn't happen, I'm going back to school."

But as we all know, she not only became a successful model, she also became a tycoon in the fashion and entertainment world. And after a few years, she will also be a Harvard Business School alum.
