Fergie's Family Expresses Opinion About Will.I.Am Vs. Perez Hilton Controversy

Fergie's family is in full force in backing the singer and her Black Eyed Peas co-member will.i.am against his controversial clash with celebrity blogger Perez Hilton.

Hilton first claimed will.i.am punched him on early Monday morning after the hip-hop artist confronted him about "disrespecting" their group and member Fergie. He later admitted in a video blog that it was tour manager Polo Molina who attacked him.

Fergie, who seems to be the reason why will.i.am approached the self-proclaimed "queen of all media" in the first place, has not yet commented on the altercation, although her family has expressed their opinions about the incident.

Her mother, Terri Jackson, quipped to Hollyscoop, "Thank God it wasn't Fergie. I think she could have taken him out."

For the singer's sister, Dana Ferguson, she thinks that Perez purposely expresses clashing opinions about people.

She said, "Perez always seems to have his opinion on everything and it seems to clash with a lot of people, and I think he does that on purpose sometimes and sometimes he's gonna get some backlash."

The "Big Girls Don't Cry" hitmaker's dad, Pat, was clearly so incensed about the whole episode that he told the website, "You don't want my opinion on Perez Hilton!"

Meanwhile, Fergie's husband, Josh Duhamel, was careful not to add anymore to the fiasco, but couldn't resist taking a little jab at Hilton.

He replied to ET when asked when does a blogger go too far, "When you get rich saying hateful things sometimes you ask for it. I don't know much to say about it. It's an unfortunate incident and I hope it goes away."
