First Time Mom Christina Aguilera Has A Newfound Respect For Her Body After Giving Birth

December 30, 2008

Christina Aguilera has "a newfound respect" for her body after giving birth. The "Dirrty" singer - who welcomed son Max Liron, her first child with husband Jordan Bratman, into the world in January - was amazed at how much the female anatomy could endure during labor.

She said: "I really have a newfound respect for the female body after going through this process. I still have a way to go with losing the weight but I will start working out and boxing soon, but I'm not going to go crazy about it."

Christina also revealed how she managed to lose her post-pregnancy pounds.

She added: "I had to really curb my love for junk food. And it's not just about looking good. I don't want to get heart disease or cancer. It's important to take care of yourself - especially as a woman."
