Celebrity chef Paula Deen is being countersued for $40 million by Celebrity Chefs Tour LLC after she filed a $1 million suit against the company in February.

The Food Network star entered a deal with the company to present cooking demonstrations before live audiences in different cities. But Deen's Paula Deen Enterprises claims that the $150,000 advance check payment she was supposed to get bounced, and after waiting for the full payment that never came, she walked away, saying Celebrity Chefs Tour breached the agreement.

She also alleges that the company defamed her by making it seem that she bailed out of the 10-city tour without any good reason after receiving the full payment in advance.

But now, the company has filed a countersuit against the 63-year-old Emmy Award winner's company, Deen Brothers Enterprises, her husband Michael Groover, and her agent for $40 million.

According to Food Network Addict, CCT alleges complaints of an alleged lack of promised publicity on the cook and her son's part, concerns about the "language used by Paula Deen on stage, that her show is not 'family-friendly' and the fact that audiences at her previous appearances have been disappointed by the fact that Paila Deen rarely cooks during her performance."

Deen also allegedly turned in promotional videos "loaded with profanity and sexual innuendo," which CCT said that wasn't able to use to promote the event.
