Gareth Gates and his wife Suzanne are expecting a girl. The newlyweds have revealed Suzanne - who fell pregnant the day after their wedding last year - is due to give birth to their daughter on April 12. The 24-year-old singer said: "At 20 weeks we were pleased to discover that it was a girl. I was so happy. I think Suzanne wanted a boy. I was in floods of tears." Gareth - who is currently starring as Joseph in the West End theater production of "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" - admits he didn't plan to start a family so soon, and was shocked to discover how quickly Suzanne fell pregnant. He said: "I thought we'd enjoy a few months together before babies came along but I couldn't be happier. Suzanne wanted to start the day after the wedding!" Suzanne, 31, added to Britain's OK! magazine: "Well, you just don't know how long it could take. It could have taken years so it was best to start trying straight away. If you talk about starting a family then start it, don't beat around the bush!" |
