Geroge Clooney And Girlfriend Sarah Larson Split

May 29, 2008 08:54 am CDT

For now, George Clooney will remain a bachelor. The marriage-shy actor has broken up with his girlfriend Sarah Larson.

According to People.com, Clooney and Larson have split up. Larson, 29, was a former "Fear Factor" winner that first met Clooney four years ago in Las Vegas when she was a cocktail server at The Whiskey Bar.

The pair met again in June 2007 and sparks flew. Clooney, 47, and Larson made their public debut together at the Venice and Deauville film festivals last September. The couple bonded in more ways than one, including being injured in a motorcycle accident together. Clooney and Larson ruled the red carpet together for a while, with Larson being the first girlfriend to ever accompany Clooney to the Oscars.

Clooney has long said he will not marry again but instead stay a bachelor. Speculation was high, however, that Larson may change his mind. As recently as March, Clooney shot down rumors of an engagement.

Although Clooney's rep would not comment about the breakup, it looks like Clooney is once again retaining his bachelorhood status.
