Girls Aloud's Nicola Roberts Flees Home After It Was Deemed Dangerous

November 25, 2008

Nicola Roberts has fled her $750,000 home because it could collapse at any moment.

The Girls Aloud star - who bought the house in Kent, England, last year - is staying at London's exclusive Mayfair Hotel after surveyors deemed her abode dangerous.

Nicola, 23, decided to call in the experts after spotting an inch-wide crack in one of her walls.

The property is now surrounded with scaffolding as workmen try to determine how to prevent it from tumbling down.

Earlier this month, it was reported Nicola was considering moving in with her boyfriend of just two months, Charlie Fennell - a barman who also lives in Kent.

A friend said: "Charlie is a really nice guy but this is ridiculous. It's only been two months and they're talking about living together!"

Nicola - who split from fiance Carl Davies in May - had only recently insisted she had "banned" men from her life, saying: "No more boyfriends for me."

"I want to be on my own. I'm tired of all the bulls**t that comes with having a boyfriend."

"I've been in a relationship since I was 16 and just want to be myself and hang out with my girls."
