Gisele Bundchen Does Damage Control For Breastfeeding Comments

After having sparked outrage for her comments that breastfeeding should be made into a worldwide law, Gisele Bundchen is now backtracking on her statement. The world's highest paid supermodel says she was simply being misunderstood when she suggested that every mother should breastfeed their child, or face a penalty.

The Brazilian beauty wrote on her blog, "My intention in making a comment about the important of breastfeeding has nothing to do with the law."

"Becoming a new mom has brought a lot of questions, I feel like I am in a constant search for answers on what might be the best for my child."

The Victoria Secret model further says she regrets that her statement sounded so "black and white."

Bundchen's controversial remarks were taken from her interview with the U.K.'s Harper's Bazaar September issue.

She adds: "I am sure if I would just be sitting talking about my experiences with other mothers, we would just be sharing opinions. I understand that everyone has their own experience and opinions and I am not here to judge."

Bundchen has a seven-month-old son, Benjamin, with NFL star Tom Brady.
