This year's Grammy Awards is already proving to be a juggernaut of an event. With some of the biggest acts in the music industry today in line for awards, even the finest of critics are finding it hard to pick their favourites to win each category and that's hardly surprising when you got stars like Sam Smith, Beyonce, Ed Sheeran and Pharrel Williams pitted against each other.

While Beyonce and Smith leads the overall nominations with six a piece, the toughest competition will be for the song and record of the year that has Taylor Swift, Sia, Smith and Meghan Trainor going strong. No prizes for guessing our favorite to win both these categories. (Reminder: Taylor's 1989 will be considered only for next year's Grammys due to its delayed release)

The event will also see a host of performers including Madonna and AC/DC, who will be making their return to the Grammy stage after some time. Joining them will be some of the hottest pop acts currently - Ariana Grande, Ed Sheeran and Eric Church (catch their acts on MTV).
