Guy Ritchie's Dad "Pleased" That He Is Divorcing Madonna |

Guy Ritchie's dad "wasn't upset" when Guy and Madonna announced they were divorcing. John Ritchie admits he is pleased to see his son so much happier since splitting from 50-year-old singer Madonna after nearly eight years of marriage. John told In Touch Weekly magazine: "Guy has been in a very good mood. I wasn't upset that they split. I am very pleased for Guy that it is over." Guy, 40, is also starting to get his personal life back on track following the announcement, and has regularly been seen out drinking with friends, including Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law. A source close to the "Sherlock Holmes" director said: "Guy is finally starting to socialize in a way that we haven't seen from him in years." However, Guy's partying is not going down well with Madonna, who he raises three children with. The source added: "Madonna had heard that Guy attended a bachelor party, and she became really upset. They had a heated phone argument and Guy demanded an immediate legal separation." "He said, 'I need to get this divorce going so I can live again.'" |
