Gwyneth Paltrow Dismisses Hollywood "High-Profile" Couples

New York, NY, United States (NewsBahn) - Gwyneth Paltrow is known for giving fans advice on how to run their personal lives, but insists on keeping her own life private. The Oscar-winning actress says she doesn't understand Hollywood couples who put a spotlight on their relationship for the world to see.

In an interview with CNN, the actress says, "When I see high-profile relationships now, I think 'Oh my God,' even though I'm technically in one."

"But we sort of don't do anything in public, we try to keep it as behind the scenes as possible. It just generates more interest and it just undermines the quality of your life."

She adds, "It's just unnecessary to be a public couple, and to have your couple-dom or whatever be its own entity, it doesn't make sense to have that in the public world."

Paltrow has been married to Coldplay frontman Chris Martin since 2003 and they have two children together, Apple and Moses.

One thing is for certain about Paltrow and her husband Martin - both can sing. Paltrow recently showed off her singing chops on the small screen - first during the Country Music Awards and during Tuesday night's episode of "Glee."
