London, England, United Kingdom (Celebrity News Service) - Gwyneth Paltrow says she would rather "smoke crack" than eat unhealthy food.

While promoting her new cookbooks "My Father's Daughter" and "Notes From My Kitchen Table" at the iTunes Festival in London on Tuesday, the Academy Award-winning actress told reporters she is not a fan of eating from canned foods, reports the Daily Telegraph.

The "Iron Man" star, who has been following an extremely strict macrobiotic eating plan introduced by friend and singer Madonna, said she'd "rather smoke crack than eat cheese from a can."

The 38-year-old actress attended the month-long event, where more than 60 artists, including Adele, Bruno Mars, Foo Fighters and Paul Simon, are set to perform.

Paltrow, who has daughter Apple, seven, and five-year-old son Moses with husband, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, said she tries to steer her children away from fast food restaurants like McDonalds, but it would be harder to do if they knew that some of them offered toys with their kids meals.

"I take them to Pizza Express because I think that's much healthier," she said. "Don't tell them there are toys!"

While Paltrow sticks to a healthy diet, she admitted to sneaking in a few sips of wine when cooking and prefers "well-made" cheese to chocolate.

"It may not be the healthiest of indulgences, but cheese, really beautiful, well-made cheese, has to be one of the best things on the planet," she said. "Give me a slice of Camembert over chocolate cake any day."

Coldplay is set to perform at the iTunes Festival on July 22.
