Halle Berry Welcomes Baby Girl

Halle Berry has given birth to a girl. The Academy Award-winning actress has welcomed a baby girl Sunday morning at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles.

A source tells Star magazine, "Halle Berry had a 7lb. 4oz. girl at 10:17am Sunday morning, March 16, at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles. The actress had checked into the hospital for the second time that day after feeling contractions earlier Saturday morning."

The insider adds that Berry had come to the hospital at 4 in the morning because she thought she was going into labor. She had a bit of a problem at first when her blood pressure came up. She had stopped dilating after her blood pressure returned to normal so she was sent home.

The source continues, "Halle felt her contractions come on a lot more intensely later that night so she came back to the hospital at 11:00pm Saturday night."

"Halle was overcome with emotion when she finally held her little girl. She said everything she had gone through was worth that moment. The tears kept coming as Halle didn't even want the nurses to take her baby to clean her up and measure her. It was truly a beautiful scene."

Meanwhile, the "Catwoman" star has said she will never marry again.

The 41-year-old actress says, "Gabriel is a wonderful person and I am just happy I've found someone really special to have a baby with. In a way, I feel more married than I ever have in two marriages."

Berry had been married to baseball player David Justice in 1992. They divorced in 1996. Her second marriage was to singer Eric Benet in 2001. Their divorce was finalized in January 2005.

Gabriel Aubry is a French-Canadian supermodel. He met Berry at a Versace shoot.
