Holly Madison Claims Plastic Surgery Changed Her Life

September 3, 2009

Holly Madison, the former girlfriend of Hugh Hefner, is stepping up to discuss her decision to have plastic surgery. The former reality star of "The Girls Next Door" turned star of Las Vegas' Peepshow revue says the decision changed her life and opened numerous doors for her career.

Madison sat down with Life & Style on August 21 before her performance saying, "I always stuffed my bra. In fact, I had a boyfriend for years, and we moved so slowly. We didn't have sex for a long time because I had to gradually bring down my bra size so he wouldn't find out I stuffed my bra!"

"Living with Hef brought down my self-esteem a lot," she tells Life & Style. "I was comparing myself to the other girls. Hef always said he didn't want me to get anything done."

In 2001, Madison made the decision to get breast implants and in 2003, she took it one more step and got rhinoplasty. After the nose job, her career started to take off and she began claiming the spotlight.

Holly continued, saying, "Plastic surgery made it easier for me to get things I wanted in my career. Without it, I wouldn't be where I am today."

Madison has since landed a spot on season eight of "Dancing With the Stars" and now headlines Peepshow in Las Vegas six nights a week
