Hugh Jackman, star of the"X-Men" films and the upcoming "The Wolverine," is used to high-flying stunts. But a grand entrance on the set of Oprah's television special in Australia caused him a serious eye injury.

Jackman flew over an audience of over 6000 people towards a stage near the Sydney Opera House, where he was unable to slow down as he neared his landing spot and instead crashed into a lighting rig.

His leg struck a studio light and a piece of debris went towards his eye, causing a cut above his right eye. News footage of the incident from Australian news stations is already available for viewing.

According to Radar Online, Oprah rushed to Jackman's side before he was taken to be treated by paramedics. Jackman's two children were watching in the audience.

"That was so much fun until the end," Jackman said.

"Let's get some ice otherwise its going to swell," Winfrey told him.

Episodes of Oprah in Australia, which will probably air sans Jackman's incident, but will feature appearances from Nicole Kidman, Olivia Newton-John, Russell Crowe, Bindi Irwin, John Foreman, and Jon Bon Jovi, are scheduled to air in January.
