Hugh Laurie Hopes For The SAG Strike So He Could Rest

April 28, 2008

British actor Hugh Laurie is crossing his fingers for an actors' strike to happen this summer so he could take some time off to rest.

The "House" star has confessed that he is hoping for the Screen Actors' Guild (SAG) to go on strike because it would mean the production of his Emmy Award-winning medical drama would halt temporarily.

He says, "I am worried that there won't be an actor's strike? Of course not. [But] little tiny strike every now and again is good. I'm very lazy."

Laurie, 48, also reveals what he did during the writers' strike saying, "I did absolutely nothing. I was like a lizard on a rock. I struck a pose and held it for three months."
