Jamie Lee Curtis Goes Topless On Magazine Cover

Jamie Lee Curtis is celebrating her 50th birthday early by shedding off her top and posing on a magazine's front cover. The "scream queen" actress has posed grey-haired and topless on the cover of American Association of Retired Persons magazine's May issue.

Curtis, who won't be celebrating her birthday until November, says her picture reflects her new understanding of beauty and aging.

She says, "I want to be older. I actually think there's an incredible amount of self-knowledge that comes with getting older. I feel way better now than I did when I was 20. I'm stronger, I'm smarter in every way."

This is not the first time Curtis had appeared on a magazine cover that draws attention to her natural beauty, In 2002, she appeared without make-up in her bra and panties on the cover of More magazine.

She continues, "I started a really healthy way of eating, just avoiding things that I had been shoving in my mouth. Over the course of a year, I dropped about 20 lbs. Now I get up every day filled with energy. I play tennis three times a week, and I do yoga."

Curtis - who is Lady Haden-Guest in the U.K., a title she gained after husband Christopher Guest inherited the Barony of Hayden Guest in 1996 - says she also ditched her uncomfortable shoes and most of her jewelries. Because, according to the actress, she doesn't wear them anyway. She saved her wedding band, diamond earrings, watch, and a necklace with a charm for her daughters.

She says, "I've had the experience of going into people's homes after they've died, and I'm amazed at the number of things people amass and never look at again. And I'm just not that person."

"I'm like the Terminator, that's what I am. I should have a TV show where I go into people's houses and terminate their possessions."

The daughter of famous actors Janet Leigh and Tony Curtis adds, "I think I have finally found what I hope beauty is, or at least, beauty as it applies to me."
