Jennifer Garner And Ben Affleck Welcome Second Daughter

Jennifer Garner has given birth to a girl. The "Alias" star and husband Ben Affleck welcomed their second child into the world at Los Angeles' Cedars-Sinai Medical Center Tuesday.

A spokesperson for the couple confirmed: "Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck gave birth to a healthy baby girl."

No other details about the birth have been released, but mother and baby are said to be doing well.

Ben and Jennifer, both 36, already have a three-year-old daughter, Violet.

Jennifer has previously spoken about her desire to extend her family.

She said: "We definitely wonder what it would be like to have another - hopefully, knock on wood, someday. My job is great to have as a mom. I get to take breaks and then work in a really concentrated way. During that concentrated time, it sucks, but whatever."

The "13 Going On 30" actress also revealed Ben is a fantastic father, adding: "You know how as a kid you picture yourself with a tall, handsome husband, and you imagine him cuddling your baby? Ben is like that."

"Violet prefers him to anyone. He's a teddy bear of a guy. Nothing makes me happier than to see the two of them together and her little hands on his face. He has a prevailing calm. Of course, he has the benefit of sleep!"
