Jennifer Garner Asks Reese Witherspoon For Parenting Tips

April 21, 2009

Jennifer Garner asks Reese Witherspoon for parenting tips. The "Ghosts of Girlfriends Past" actress - who has daughters Violet, three, and three-month-old Seraphina with husband Ben Affleck - confessed she is in awe of Reese's mothering skills.

Jennifer said: "I always quiz Reese about how she does it. I feel like she does a really good job."

Reese has two children, nine-year-old Ava and five-year-old Deacon, with her ex-husband Ryan Phillippe.

Jennifer, 37, admits she often struggles to get her children ready to leave the house in the morning, and praised her husband for his help.

She said: "It's the morning combo of nursing and trying to get Violet to pre-school that's such a challenge. Ben will do the school run. He dresses her and does her hair. It's pretty funny. You can always tell when he has been at it, just two random barrettes hanging in there. It's so sweet."

Despite her protestations, Jennifer's "Ghosts of Girlfriends Past" co-star Matthew McConaughey has praised her mothering ability.

Matthew's partner Camila Alves was pregnant with their son Levi, now nine-months-old, while they were shooting the movie, and Matthew has revealed Jennifer inspired him to be a good parent.

He said: "After now having a child, I see it was very seamless how Jennifer handled being a parent and being an actress."
