Jessica Simpson Reveals Fear Of Squatting

April 22, 2009

Jessica Simpson has a fear of squatting. The singer - who faced huge criticism earlier this year when she appeared to have gained weight - dreads having to perform the tough aerobic exercise with her personal trainer and finds it hard to take his advice.

She said: "On my way to workout with my trainer. Every time we have to do squats, and he yells at me, 'Get lower like you're in the club!'"

"I don't squat in the club unless I am peeing!"

Squats - which help strengthen leg muscles - are performed by bending the knees and lowering the torso before standing up straight again.

Last month, the 28-year-old blonde beauty re-hired her ex-personal trainer Mike Alexander because she was reportedly struggling to contain her cravings for fatty treats.

A source said: "She just can't resist junk food. She literally needs to be watched all the time."

Jessica has a problem with binge eating, which is usually triggered by stress.

"Jessica's most recent violation was indulging in the terrible trio of chicken wings, nachos, and alcohol at the Great Dane Pub in Madison, Wisconsin."

Jessica recently revealed she is launching a range of dresses to make all women feel sexy.

She said: "I know what flatters a woman, and trust me, I've been judged a lot in my life. By now I know what works if you're curvy."

"If my clothing and accessories make you feel great and let you walk proud and tall - in big, big platform shoes - then I'm happy."
