Jimmy Fallon becomes new host of Universal Studios Hollywood's Studio Tour

March 28, 2011 Jimmy Fallon, Whoopi Goldberg

Los Angeles, CA, United States (AHN Entertainment) - Jimmy Fallon has a new job. He's now hosting the popular Studio Tour at Universal Studios Hollywood.

No, he's not quitting his day job (or night job?) at NBC's "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" and in order to drive the trams, which have given over 150 million visitors a tour of Universal's famed backlot.

Fallon instead becomes the ride's "virtual Studio Tour Guide," which means he'll be seen on hi-def monitors located all over the ride in newly filmed segments which will debut in the parks later this year.

"We really had fun with filming my role. We brought some writers out from our show and added some jokes, more play with the Studio Tour guides, the tram drivers and we added a song or two," Fallon said about his role on the Studio Tour.

"The tour itself is a classic, a really great experience. For anyone with any interest in show business, it's all there: the glamour, the glitz, all the hard work that goes into making a movie or a TV show can be experienced on the Universal Studios Hollywood Studio Tour. I'm very happy to be a part of it."

Fallon replaces Whoopi Goldberg, who previously hosted the tour for Universal. Fallon is just the latest addition to the popular Studio Tour at Universal Studios Hollywood, which also features the new "King Kong 360 3-D" experience which opened last year.
