Judd Apatow says he is a terrible lover. The "40-Year-Old Virgin" director admits his first sexual experience was a disappointment and his performance in the bedroom hasn't improved much since.

He said: "I said to the girl after my first time, 'Hey, was it good for you, too?' And she said, 'Well, I guess it'll get better eventually.'"

Apatow has also revealed he uses dye to keep his genitals looking youthful by disguising any graying hairs.

The 41-year-old Hollywood heavyweight explained to Playboy magazine: "I use Grecian Formula now. It still looks distinguished. From a certain angle it kind of looks like Ben Kingsley."

Apatow is married to actress Leslie Mann.

The pair met on the set of "The Cable Guy" in 1996 and have subsequently worked together on "Knocked Up" and "The 40-Year-Old Virgin."

They have two young daughters together, Maude and Iris.
