Pattie Mallette,Justin Bieber hopes that the complicated relationship between her son and Selena Gomez will be ironed out positively as Selena is a good influence on her son. She thinks Selena helps to keep him on the straight and narrow.

It is not clear where this relationship is headed,because they are on and off.They were recently spotted hanging out at a private concert in West Hollywood and sat next to each other.They however did not have any PDA,not even holding hands.

Radar Online spoke to an insider who confirmed that Selena has always been close to Justin's mother. The source said Pattie is impressed by what a good influence the 20-year old singer has been on her son.

Justin however has been making headlines in the recent past and has made friends with people Selena cannot stand. Romour has it that it is in fact one of Justin's friends who sold pictures of Justin smoking weed on the web.

The source went ahead to say Miss Gomez does not want to be around Justin all the time because his friends are really shady people.

Justin's mother is reported to be pushing for the two on-and-off couple to get back together because Selena will help help Justin get back to his old good self.
