Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez share televised kiss live at Billboard Music Awards

Los Angeles, CA, United States (AHN Entertainment) - Even though Justin Bieber was the biggest winner of the night at the Billboard Music Awards, most people were talking about the trophy on his arm, Selena Gomez. They had their nationally televised kiss on Sunday night.

Upon being announced as the winner of Top New Artist, Bieber gave a big kiss and hug to Gomez, just before he gave what was probably the worst speech of the night. Get yourself some flash cards, Biebs!

Of course, the kiss was much to the detriment of his fans on Twitter. Many of the comments could not be re-printed but they involve not-so-cleverly placing words like "slut," among others, into Gomez's name.

The couple, who have tried to keep their relationship cool in front of cameras until now, were seated next to Bieber's mom, Patricia Mallette, at the star-studded event.

While Bieber thanked plenty of people he attributes to his success, and sported a flashy gold jacket, he did forget to thank his girlfriend Selena. I'm sure he was just nervous…about what the Beliebers would have to say.

At the first Billboard Music Awards since 2006 and his first-ever, Bieber also picked up awards for Top Social Artist, Top Streaming Artist, Top Digital Media Artist, Top Pop Album and Top Streaming Song (video).
