Kanye West opens mouth and inserts foot once again

Attention seeking rapper Kanye West wants tried to poke fun at Britney Spears, but the pop hit maker's manager failed to get the joke.

When Britney's "Hold It Against Me" held Kanye and Jay-Z's song "H.A.M." from reaching the top spot on iTunes charts, Kanye saw it as an opportunity to take a dig at the singer using his infamous Taylor Swift diss at the MTV Music Video Awards 2009.

The thoughtless Kanye wrote on Twitter: "Yo Britney, I'm really happy for you and Imma let you be #1, but me and Jay-Z's single is one of the best songs of all time! LOL"

Adam Leber, Britney's manager, apparently failed to see the joke.

He wrote sarcastically on Britney's Twitter: "@kanyewest Thanks for 'letting' us be #1. Much appreciated…. -Adam Leber, Manager"

Kanye tried to remove the tweet from the twitterverse but the damage was done.. West later added a couple more to explain what he meant by "LOL."

He wrote: "On a serious note I'm truly happy for Avril Lavigne and Britney Spears. No hate in 2011… I thought LOL signified a joke… I didn't get the 2011 LOL doesn't signify a joke anymore memo… LOL or something else I guess"
