Kate Gosselin ordered to pay $10,000 to marriage therapist

Los Angeles, CA, United States (AHN Entertainment) - It's no surprise that Kate Gosselin and Jon Gosselin sought the expertise of a marriage therapist while they were together. But the Gosselins, even back when they was earning their "Jon and Kate Plus 8" paydays, refused to pay her.

According to People, the Gosselins racked up quite a bill with Sylvia Lafair of Creative Energy Options. Gosselin has now been ordered to pay over $10,000 to the Pennsylvania therapist.

Lafair says she entered into a verbal agreement to fly to Los Angeles and counsel the couple back in March 2009, but the Gosselins never paid for her services or travel feels.

Just a few months after the counseling session, Jon and Kate announced that they had separated and were beginning divorce proceedings.

Gosselin says that Lafair was solely Jon's therapist and that she never entered into an agreement with her. Gosselin's attorney filed an appeal in the case.
