Katherine Heigl has adopted a second daughter

Katherine Heigl’s 10 month old daughter might be getting a sister. Reports say Katherine and her husband Josh Kelly have secretly adopted a little girl from Louisiana. The baby is said to be only eight days old.

A source has revealed that the pair flew to Louisiana as soon as the baby was born to pick her up, but do not want to tell about their new girl yet.

‘The whole adoption process for Katherine and Josh was like a covert operation. To keep whole thing a secret, a friend sat with their baby five rows back from them on the plane on their trip back to Los Angeles’ added the source.

‘Only the selected few know the baby’s name’.

Josh’s friends say he is excited about the newest family member. Josh said “I’m a dad again. Can you believe it? I’m so happy. I know there will be sleepless nights coming up for me and Katherine, but I don’t care, I am tickled pink.

Katherine has had her fair share of problems when it comes to adopting and despite that, she still wants to be a mother. She had admitted recently how she struggled to cope when her daughter Naleigh rejected her. She thought she was a bad mother. She said “I fought for my daughter to accept me as mother. Her rejection almost broke my heart”. Her adopted daughter however got along just fine with her husband.
