Katie Holmes To Perform On "So You Think You Can Dance"

Katie Holmes is to perform on a TV dance contest. The 30-year-old actress is in talks to appear in Fox's "So You Think You Can Dance" - which sees a group of dancers compete for a cash prize and the title of America's Favorite Dancer - which would involve her doing a one-off routine.

A source said: "She's met with judge and producer Nigel Lythgoe and everyone hopes she appears on this season or next season of the show."

Katie - who has a three-year-old daughter Suri with husband Tom Cruise - has been spotted paying several visits to Hollywood dance studios over recent weeks, seemingly in preparation for her appearance.

Katie's love of dance is well known. Last year, she made her return to TV with an all-singing, all-dancing part in TV show "Eli Stone."

Steve McPherson - president of ABC, the TV network that airs "Eli Stone" - said at the time: "There's actually some singing and dancing she does and she's exquisite. I saw her do a read-through and she was fabulous."
