Katie Price And Peter Andre To Start Their Divorce Process

Katie Price and Peter Andre will start the process to end their marriage Tuesday. The warring couple - who split in May after three-and-a-half years of marriage - have both filed divorce papers so neither will have to admit to being responsible for the break-up of their relationship.

Peter is thought to have taken action first, with Katie - also known as Jordan - then instructing her lawyers to do the same.

A family lawyer said: "It's quite sad really and nothing more than a petty snipe from Katie. It's her way of saying, 'I am not allowing you to divorce me - instead I am going to divorce you.'"

The couple - who raise three children together, Harvey, seven, Junior, four, and two-year-old Princess Tiaamii - will be granted a cross decree, as they are both filing for divorce, and will then be given six weeks to assess the situation before a decree absolute is given.

The pair are believed to have already reached a financial settlement and custody arrangements for the children as they are keen for the marriage to end as soon as possible.

Although they went to counseling in a bid to save their troubled marriage, Peter finally ended it in May but has never given a specific reason why.

He said this week: "There's some really incredible stuff that only Katie and I know about. But I'll never talk about it in public, because I want to protect the kids from all that… I walked away because I had to."

Since the split, 31-year-old glamour model Katie has enjoyed several wild nights out and is now dating cage fighter Alex Reid, while Peter, 36, insists he is still single.
